Melt & Candle Safety

If our journey has taught us anything, it is that no two noses are the same!

What one person thinks is perfect, may be too weak or overpowering for another, it all comes down to personal preference. All of our melts and candles have been tested at different strengths by different people, and all feedback taken on board and recipes adjusted until we had a product we were proud of.

There are a few things to consider when using our products: -

Wax Melts

Room Size

The intensity of the fragrance will depend on the size of the room, the smaller / more confined the room, the stronger the fragrance, the larger the room, the more subtle the smell.

Melter Size / Type

Our melts should only be used in appropriate wax / oil melters, and we recommend using unscented, 4 hour tea lights.

Never overfill the melter dish.

Our wax melts can be used in both tea light, and electric melters.

Burn Time

We would expect each bar to give 60+ hours of burn time. Keep using new tea lights until there is no fragrance left, at which time you can replace it with a lovely new fragrance.

Always allow your melter to cool completely between burns.

Candles

Candle Care

To get the most out of your candle always trim the wick to approx. 5mm before each burn.

When burning for the first time, allow the candle to burn for long enough to allow the wax pool to reach the edge of the container. This will avoid tunnelling, and allow an even burn.

Burn Time

We would expect each 220g candle to give at least 45+ hours of burn time, and our larger 400g Crystal Candles to provide 60+ hours of burn time, when the instructions above are followed.

Candles should be burned for a maximum of 4 hours at a time.

General Melt & Candle Safety

Do not ingest our wax melts or candles.

Do not place your melter / candle in a draft, and always keep within sight, and away from children and pets.

Do not leave your melter / candle unattended, and always extinguish before leaving the house / going to bed.

Do not move the melter / candle once it is lit, and whilst the wax is melted.

Only burn melts and candles on a flat, fire resistant surface.

4 hour tea-lights should be used for wax melts, and candles should be burned for a maximum of 4 hours at a time.

Should our products cause any kind of skin irritation or allergic reaction, seek medical advice immediately.

We are fully CLP (Classification, Labeling & Packaging) compliant. Please check each packet for any hazardous ingredients or specific safety instructions.

Diffuser & Room Spray

Car Diffusers

Our car diffusers are made, and work, in the same way that our reed diffusers just without the reeds.

Directions for Use: -

Coloured Lid Bottles / Wooden Lid Bottles

1) Shake the bottle

2) Use the gloves provided

3) Unscrew the lid and remove the bung being careful not to spill the liquid on yourself or, any surfaces

4) If using the car clip, add this now / Add car clip now

5) Screw the lid back on ensuring it is well secured

6) With care and, whilst still wearing the gloves provided, place your thumb and finger over the 2 holes where the cord comes through. Gently tip the bottle to approx. 45 degrees, so that the liquid seeps into the cork within the lid - do not shake or turn the bottle upside down as this will cause the liquid to spill out / Add the 2 x ‘pom poms’ into the lid

6) Once the cork is coated, the diffuser is ready to use. This can be hung with the cord, making sure it doesn’t obscure your view whilst driving or, it can be clipped onto a vent. Wherever you decide to place the diffuser, ensure it is secured properly in its location / Once the ‘pom poms’ are inserted, the fragrance oil will be drawn up the stalk, scenting the pom poms.

7) When the scent starts to fade, re-visit step 5 above, and continue to do so until the liquid is all gone

Room Sprays

Our room sprays are perfect for a quick blast of fragrance. Just a couple of sprays and the scent will linger for hours!

1) Shake well before use

2) Spray away from eyes / face

3) Do not spray directly on to skin, surfaces or furnishings

4) Highly flammable, Keep away from naked flames or heat sources

5) Do not ingest

6) Keep away from children and pets

7) Should our products be consumed or, cause any kind of skin irritation or allergic reaction, seek medical advice
